Global Shipping Manager

Global Shipping Manager responsible for driving performance, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement across Sotheby’s global carrier network; translates data into decisions, leads key initiatives, and shapes how the transportation network operates day-to-day across US, EMEA, and APAC. Partners with regional teams and carriers to improve reliability, reduce cost, and enhance client delivery experience while ensuring adherence to global trade and transportation regulatory standards. Key duties include managing day-to-day carrier performance and KPIs, negotiating pricing and terms, supporting carrier RFP processes, identifying opportunities to optimize carrier mix, leading initiatives to reduce delays and improve reliability, defining system requirements and rolling out enhancements for client visibility, ensuring compliance across documentation and cross-border processes, and developing reporting dashboards. Expected experience includes 3–4 years in logistics/analytical roles, strong Excel and data-visualization skills, ability to translate data into actionable outcomes, and leadership/mentorship potential. The role also involves coordinating with US/EMEA/APAC teams and managing a Shipping Analyst.
