Job Summary
Senior Director of Software Engineering will lead JPMorganChase's global SAP General Ledger program, overseeing SAP G/L on S4Hana, SAP Business Warehouse and BPC, and production support. Responsibilities include strategy development, multi-team leadership (SAP Configuration, Software Engineers, Production Support), cross-department collaboration, cloud initiatives via SAP Rise and SAP BTP, and integrating SAP AI capabilities. The role requires interfacing with senior leaders and managing vendor relationships to deliver scalable value in a financial services context, with emphasis on cloud-native practices, system design, testing, and operational stability.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience
- 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate, and solve complex technical challenges within your domain and across the organization
- Experience developing or leading large, cross-functional teams of technologists
- Demonstrated ability to influence across highly matrixed, complex organizations and deliver value at scale
- Experience leading complex projects supporting system design, testing, and operational stability
- Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
- Extensive practical cloud-native experience
- Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
