Job Summary
Lead the SHE agenda within the Business Unit as the subject matter expert for all safety, health, and environmental matters. Develop and manage a risk-based internal audit program, deploy safe systems of work including PTW and Lock Out Tag Out, and ensure full root cause analysis is completed on all accidents and fires. Liaise with global directors and plant managers to identify management system gaps, share learnings across sites, and drive continuous improvement in emergency response procedures and legal compliance. Support the Global SHE Director in developing and deploying the overall SHE strategy for the business unit.
Required Qualifications
- Internationally recognised qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
- Prior exposure to ISO14001 & ISO 18001 / 45001 environmental & occupational standards
- Demonstrate knowledge of OSHA/UK/EU safety legislation
- Demonstrate experience of working with formal Management of Change systems (MOC) to reduce safety and operational risks
- Demonstrate experience in application of behavioural safety management systems in order to drive an interdependent culture within a workforce
- Excellent people, communication, team building and organisational skills
- Proficient in Adaptive Coaching skills of listening, asking and responding
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrate experience in Process Safety Management techniques such as HAZOP is an advantage for the role
