Job Summary
Economist in Global Research team based in Singapore to analyze macro/fundamental drivers of Asia frontier economies, develop econometric models, produce regular reports, and interact with clients and internal teams to provide insights and forecasts. Role requires solid economics background, knowledge of regional political and economic developments, proficiency with data analysis and forecasting, and collaboration with EM Edge and EM Asia teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines
- Mininum 3 years experience within a Research role on the sell-side or buy-side or IMF/central bank
- Strong quantitative skills with proven aptitude to analyse macro data and develop econometric models for a range of economies
- Ability to work with spreadsheets and statistical programming languages/packages (Eviews, R, Python)
- Strong knowledge of regional political, economic, and business trends and prospects
- Good written and oral communication skills; attention to detail
