Global Quality Engineer

Job Summary
Develop and implement quality standards for in-process and completed vehicle inspections while leading problem-solving activities to ensure manufacturing meets design and customer requirements. Manage all quality-related issues within specific shops, identify root causes, and instigate permanent corrective actions to prevent customer impact. Monitor key performance indicators including scrap rates, rework levels, and PPM figures to adhere to ISO9001 compliance and process standards. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues efficiently, participate in cross-functional teams for new product introductions, and refine Design and Process FMEA's using Six-Sigma and Poka-Yoke techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in technical fields such as Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics
- Minimum of three years experience in quality, engineering and/or manufacturing
- Proficient in print reading and interpretation, part measurement, gage design and function
- Good English communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving / Team working / Analytical skills
Desired Qualifications
- Technical experience in interior, exterior, body, chassis, electrical or powertrain quality, manufacturing, or engineering functions
- Demonstrated experience and capability in any of the following areas: Lean Manufacturing and or Manufacturing Quality
- Demonstrated experience and capability in any of the following areas: Manufacturing, Process and or Tool Engineering
- Demonstrated experience and capability in any of the following areas: Quality Systems Planning (APQP), including PPAP
- Demonstrated experience and capability in any of the following areas: Statistical Problem Solving (8-D, SixSigma DMAIC Tool-set)
- Master's degree in Business or Engineering is a plus
