Job Summary
Global Project Head, GI Oncology Leader drives GI Oncology disease-area strategy across multiple assets, guides portfolio optimization, and leads late-stage asset development through data-driven decision-making. The role interfaces with cross-functional asset-oriented teams to ensure end-to-end compound strategy and represents the Disease Area function in cross-functional governance for brand strategy. The GPH collaborates with external investigators, advisory boards, and regulatory authorities to inform clinical strategy, assess external business development, and enable international collaboration. Strong leadership in an oncology-specific disease area, experience with regulatory submissions and health authority discussions, matrix leadership experience, and ability to integrate project components into the clinical strategy are required.
Required Qualifications
- MD or PhD with proven experience in solid tumor oncology clinical development
- 7 or more years of experience spanning early to late-stage clinical research and development in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
- Good understanding of global drug development process and of functional roles and responsibilities
- Experience in successful submissions for marketing authorization
- Experience leading cross-functional clinical teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 20% travel domestic and international
