Job Summary
Define and drive a 3–5-year portfolio strategy and product roadmap for research reagents and adjacent life sciences solutions. Identify and prioritize high-value customer needs, application trends, and market opportunities across research reagent categories. Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management, including opportunity assessment, business case development, launch planning, and lifecycle optimization. Influence cross-functional teams across R&D, operations, marketing, and sales to align execution with portfolio priorities and business objectives. Develop competitive intelligence, external partnership recommendations, and strategic insights to inform portfolio decisions and growth priorities. Report to the Head of Research Reagents and Consumables within the Product Management organization. Requires a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Cell Biology, with up to 30% domestic and international travel.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related life sciences discipline
- Progressive experience in product management, portfolio strategy, applications, marketing, or other commercial roles within the life sciences industry
- Demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility, scope, and business impact
- Deep domain expertise in genomics reagents, life sciences tools, and customer applications
- Strong understanding of the needs and workflows of academic, biotech, and biopharma customers
- Proven ability to develop and execute product and portfolio strategies based on customer insights, market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and business objectives
- Demonstrated success influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Effectively communicating with technical, commercial, and senior leadership stakeholders in complex, matrixed organizations
- Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally, including occasional overnight travel
