Job Summary
Global Procurement Specialist role transitioning from Pharmacy Technician to a business-focused pharmaceutical procurement position. Responsibilities include sourcing prescription and OTC medications from approved vendors, researching hard-to-find or backordered drugs, negotiating pricing and applying markups, preparing and sending customer quotes, processing purchase orders in ERP, coordinating shipments, verifying order accuracy, managing cold chain and controlled products when required, and tracking shipments while communicating with customers. Requires Pharmacy Technician experience with strong knowledge of NDCs, drugs, and dosage forms; high attention to detail; excellent organizational and communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Excel; ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment; and completion of a background check and drug screen. No nights or weekends; stable Monday–Friday onsite schedule with potential growth in pharmaceutical distribution and procurement.
Required Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of NDCs, brand/generic drugs, and dosage forms
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced office setting
- Must pass background check and drug screen
