Job Summary

Develop and qualify global manufacturing processes for Aero Alliance's machining equipment, deploying standards across factories to improve reliability and reduce costs. Define global process standards for asset integration, maintenance, and training, while validating engineering specifications and shop floor applications. Lead investigations into equipment failures, applying root cause analysis and reliability strategies to eliminate recurring issues and drive continuous improvement. Coach factory manufacturing engineers and influence dotted-line teams to adopt lean methodologies and design-for-reliability principles. Manage new technology introductions, fixturing recommendations, and spare parts optimization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
  • 7+ years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical role (manufacturing engineer or similar) with expertise in Machining processes and equipment (ex: grinding, milling, turning, EDM, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and quality processes
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and schematics
  • Project Management skills and experience
  • Fluency in English in writing and speaking
  • Engage design for Six Sigma methodology (DFSS), including, measuring existing machine capability, analyzing process requirements, and developing a strategy to maintain / improve process yield
  • Deploy lean principles, including, 3P (Production Preparation Process), Total Productive Maintenance, Jidoka, PQ/PR, Takt Cycle, Standard Work, Value Stream Maps, Kaizen, 4D/8D/A3 Problem Solving, and Poka Yoke

Desired Qualifications

  • 10+ years technical experience with expertise in machining processes and equipment (ex: grinding, milling, turning, EDM, etc.)
  • Direct leadership experience of both professional and production employees
  • Ability to coach and influence others and lead small teams
  • Experience leading Kaizen teams
  • Experience with Zero Defect (Built in Quality) framework and elements
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
  • Ability to coordinate and manage several projects simultaneously
  • Managed a cost center or P&L with a solid understanding of operational metrics
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability
  • Deep manufacturing technical expertise
  • Has comprehensive knowledge of underlying principles, approaches, and methodology
