Job Summary
Global Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll operations across the U.S., Australia, Canada, and the UK, ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. Build scalable payroll processes, strengthen audit readiness, and partner cross-functionally to deliver a seamless employee experience while driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Responsibilities include managing end-to-end payroll, setup for new hires and changes, wage-hour compliance, SOX controls, audits, reconciliations, monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, incentive/equity payroll, liaison with auditors, collaboration with Accounting/People/Legal/external vendors, process documentation, scalable workflows, internal controls, and leveraging AI/automation to streamline payroll processes. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 7+ years of payroll experience with U.S. payroll ownership in a high-growth tech company, global payroll exposure, Deep knowledge of U.S. payroll regulations, experience in multi-state/multi-country environments, equity payroll administration, familiarity with Workday or ADP, strong ownership and communication skills, and advanced Excel abilities. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of progressive payroll experience
- Experience owning U.S. payroll in a high-growth technology company
- Global payroll exposure (AU, UK, CA) strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of U.S. payroll, wage and hour compliance, and employment tax regulations
- Experience operating in complex multi-state and multi-country environments
- Experience administering equity and incentive payroll (RSUs, ISOs, NQSOs) and related payroll tax reporting
- Hands-on experience with modern payroll, HRIS, and time tracking systems (Workday preferred, ADP)
- Ability to troubleshoot and improve workflows across integrated systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience using AI or automation to streamline payroll processes
