Job Summary
Lead and manage QA engineers, automation engineers, and test analysts across multiple strategic initiatives in Agile environments. Define and execute enterprise test strategies covering functional, integration, system, regression, data validation, and automation testing. Drive test planning, estimation, resource allocation, and execution while establishing quality KPIs, automation coverage metrics, and defect trends. Partner with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, and Program Managers to ensure quality objectives are achieved and compliance with regulatory requirements is met. Mentor team members through coaching, performance feedback, and career planning. Champion automation-first and shift-left testing practices to improve efficiency and quality outcomes. Lead defect triage, risk assessment, issue resolution, and executive-level quality reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Strong understanding of system design and microservices architecture
- Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing frameworks (Cucumber, JUnit, Litmus)
- Relevant IT experience in Agile environments, preferably within the banking, financial services, or payments domain
- Strong experience in Java, web services, and SQL /PLSQL (Oracle)
- Strong knowledge of XML and JSON within API and microservices implementations at scale
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write complex cross-system queries
- Experience with UNIX, shell scripting, and regular expressions (RegEx)
- Strong experience (3+ years) in parsing and generating data/files, banking standards, XML, and XPath
