Job Summary
Global Operations Manager (Maternity Cover) to lead/provide oversight of procurement, travel, and office management, ensuring 80%+ process compliance, optimisation and digitalisation of end-to-end operations across multiple locations (Geneva/London). Responsibilities include managing overheads and budget, coordinating staff training, improving operations workflows, and delivering strategic initiatives (RFX, P2P, CLM) to support organisational efficiency, risk mitigation, and value for money. The role requires leadership of a team (including direct reports), cross-functional collaboration, and oversight of office safety and governance. Required experience includes 8+ years in global operations/procurement/travel/office management, with a degree in a related field, and proficiency in English; professional certifications in procurement or project management are desirable. Hybrid work arrangement with two to three days in Geneva or one day in Central London; limited international travel; contract type: full-time fixed-term (11 months) for maternity cover.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- At least 8 years’ experience in global operations, procurement, travel management, and office or facilities management
- Proven track record of process optimisation, digitalisation, and change management
- Experience working in international, multicultural, and mission-driven organisations
- Professional certifications in Procurement, Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile), Operations, or Risk Management are desirable but not required
- Fluency in English is required; French preferred for Geneva-based partners and suppliers
