Global Onsite Lab Project Manager

Job Summary
Develop financial models and proposals for new and existing onsite laboratories by consulting with clients, regional staff, and operating affiliates regarding requirements, costs, and schedules. Coordinate planning, scheduling, and execution for new laboratory builds, startups, renovations, and expansions while confirming and monitoring laboratory equipment purchasing to ensure global standards. Prepare technical proposals and tender submissions, communicate with clients to develop opportunities and negotiate wins, and obtain technical and operational sign-off on developed models. Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with extended or irregular hours, requiring global team involvement and independent work under pressure.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in a Science or Engineering related program with a strong preference in a Geosciences profession (Geology, Mines, Mineralogy, Environmental Mineralogy, Soil Science etc.)
- Select technical experience in a geosciences-related profession with some aspects of business management/personnel management
- Strong working knowledge of the mining and minerals industry
- Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail
- Works well under pressure
- Ability to work well with others & independently, without supervision
- Ability to manage a team
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, fluid and highly professional environment
- Superior organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition (English)
- Global team involvement will mean that extended and/or irregular hours will be required
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in other languages besides English (French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic etc.)
