Job Summary

Global Materials Planning & Optimization Manager leads the strategic planning and execution of material supply processes to ensure production continuity, cost efficiency, and inventory optimization. A core success factor is translating demand signals into robust material requirements and applying end-to-end supply chain planning knowledge to reflect demand variability in material strategies. The role collaborates across Global Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, and contract manufacturers while driving continuous improvement across the supply chain. Responsibilities include developing end-to-end materials management strategies aligned with demand plans and production capacity; translating unconstrained and constrained demand forecasts into optimized replenishment; leading scenario planning to evaluate material implications of volatility and disruptions; ensuring contract manufacturers hold optimized material levels; integrating demand plans with execution outcomes; defining inventory strategies balancing demand uncertainty, service levels, working capital, and material criticality; and delivering actionable visibility to leadership on material readiness and risks. Requires hands-on planning expertise, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and data visualization tools; preferred certifications (APICS CPIM/CSCP) and 5+ years in relevant roles. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Materials Planning with exposure to Demand & Supply Planning or Integrated Business Planning (IBP/S&OP) environments
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis, APO, o9 or similar)
  • Advanced Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
  • Professional certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM / CSCP)
  • 5+ years of experience in Materials Planning with exposure to Demand & Supply Planning or Integrated Business Planning (IBP/S&OP)
  • Experience with ERP/MRP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis, APO, o9 or similar)
  • Advanced Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • 1–3 years of people or functional leadership experience (preferred)
