Global Market Operations VP – Margin / Middle Office Settlements

Job Summary
Own and oversee delivery of CMVS processes across margin calculation, reconciliation, and collateral settlement, ensuring outputs are complete, accurate, and controlled. Provide oversight of controls within the core margin platform, reviewing exceptions, breaks, and disputes to drive resolution strategies across Business, Risk, and Technology. Lead process improvement initiatives including automation and standardisation, while maintaining accountability for control execution and engaging with Audit and Operational Risk functions. Provide oversight of MI and reporting, articulating themes, risks, and trends to senior stakeholders. Support resource planning and junior team oversight to ensure consistent delivery against BAU and change objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in collateral management / margin operations, with demonstrated understanding of end-to-end margin lifecycle and associated risks
- Proven ability to oversee and challenge operational processes, controls, and outputs in a complex environment
- Experience in managing or leading process improvement and change initiatives, including control uplift and automation
- Strong understanding of control frameworks and governance expectations, including audit and risk interaction
- Margin experience ideally or general middle office experience with settlements
- Ability to assess and articulate operational risk, control effectiveness (in terms of execution), and required remediation actions
- Advanced analytical capability, with ability to interpret complex data and identify root causes and themes
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior business, risk, and technology partners
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise across BAU delivery and change activity while maintaining control discipline
- Change / BA and / or project management experience within a Mkts Ops setting
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of control architecture (input, calculation, movement, output) within core margin platforms
- Experience leading control uplift, transformation, or strategic programmes
- Ability to leverage data, analytics, and emerging AI tooling to enhance control visibility, MI, and process efficiency
- Track record of engagement with stakeholders and governance forums, including ownership of remediation outcomes
