Job Summary
Oversee the Global Learning Advising Framework by employing culturally appropriate methods for student and family advising, managing course planning for approximately 60 academic year and 30 summer programs, and responding to inquiries via globallearning@scu.edu. Lead program management for the Peer Advisor Program, including hiring, training, and supervising six advisors; coordinate the annual Global Opportunities Expo; and organize mandatory pre-departure orientation sessions covering health, safety, and form verification. Manage re-entry programming, collect evaluation data, analyze participation trends to guide strategic improvements, and conduct site visits to programs abroad. Collaborate with academic departments and campus organizations to promote global diversity and intercultural learning, while updating digital content and tracking program outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge about integrating developmental and multicultural advising for individuals and groups and learning resources services and programs
- Direct experience working with diverse student populations and supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Experience facilitating orientation and information sessions
- Excellent cross-cultural, written, oral and presentation communication skills
- Process management and time management skills
- Ability to compose and give effective presentations
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences and de-escalate charged situations
