Job Summary
Procurement of international / cross-BU transport and logistics services for MAHLE Business Units worldwide, achieving savings and cost avoidance through negotiations with third-party providers, defining supplier panels and framework agreements, organizing regular meetings with BU/plant/headquarters logistics functions to define requirements and strategies, and collaborating with global logistics functions in critical situations.
Required Qualifications
- Successfully completed business-related degree
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes and markets in transport, warehousing and logistics services
- Strong expertise in logistics calculation and planning methods
- Several years of experience in a comparable position or forwarder agency experience would be an additional advantage
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with focus on strategic solutions for the entire organization
- Strong team player with excellent social and intercultural skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, high goal orientation and ability to represent the company
- Ability to act with integrity, inspire others, and promote personal responsibility
- Fluent English skills (German would be an additional advantage)
- Willingness to travel
