Job Summary
Part-Time Site Monitor for the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) at Global Kids. Responsibilities include conducting site visits to ensure SYEP guidelines and Global Kids standards, routine check-ins to observe participant engagement, attendance tracking, and proper documentation; communicating with Worksite Coordinator and Community School Director; documenting site visits and observations; supporting youth engagement and conflict resolution to foster a positive, inclusive environment; maintaining clear, timely communication with central program staff; and traveling between multiple worksites. Requirements include a high school diploma (some college preferred), experience with youth, strong observational and organizational skills, ability to communicate with diverse youth and staff, and willingness to work 20 hours per week at various NYC program sites. Salary is $18-$22 per hour. GK offers paid personal days, sick time, and other benefits; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required; some college preferred
- Experience working with youth (middle school, high school, or young adults) is strongly preferred
- Strong observational and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of youth and staff
- Commitment to youth development, equity, and Global Kids’ mission
- Ability to work independently and travel to/between multiple worksites
- Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plus
