Job Summary
Write weekly economic research reports for a large global audience and present the team's economic views to clients worldwide. Forecast GDP, the labor market, inflation, and monthly economic indicators while closely following US monetary policy decisions. Interpret and comment on high-frequency economic data releases to identify game-changing insights. This role requires a PhD in Economics or equivalent research experience, strong econometric analysis skills, and excellent writing and presentation abilities. Based in New York, this position offers a salary range of $150,000 to $225,000 with discretionary bonus eligibility. Required Qualifications
- PhD in Economics or other strong research experience in markets or at a central bank
- Strong interest in macroeconomics and monetary policy
- Experience producing original and ambitious economic research
- Solid background in econometric analysis, statistics, math, and programming
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team setting
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to handle a demanding workload
