Job Summary
Global Indirect Procurement Category Manager- Logistics leads logistics sourcing in a global, multi-regional environment, defining procurement strategy for inbound/outbound logistics, negotiating with 3PLs and carriers, driving cost improvements, ensuring business continuity during peaks, and aligning procurement with manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial objectives. The role requires extensive experience in international logistics, supplier management, and transformation initiatives, with emphasis on transportation modes (road, sea, air), warehousing, and distribution, plus leadership in a matrix organization and strong stakeholder collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
- 10–15 years procurement experience with a focus on logistics in manufacturing or consumer goods industries
- Strong knowledge of European/global transport markets
- Experience leading complex international negotiations, strategic sourcing, and cost optimization in logistics procurement
- Experience with tender management, supplier selection, and cost optimization
- Fluent in Italian & English
- Knowledge of ERP/procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba)
