Job Summary
Lead global herbicide resistance management programs ensuring scientific rigor and alignment with sustainability objectives across APAC, EMEA, LATAM, and North America. Develop and execute integrated resistance management plans while managing resources and budgets for existing and pipeline products. Provide technical leadership on resistance risk assessment, monitoring, stewardship, and lifecycle management. Integrate and analyze global resistance data to inform research priorities and product development, applying predictive models to guide strategic recommendations. Partner with mode-of-action experts to evaluate risks for new molecules and design monitoring frameworks. Lead investigations into resistance-related product performance issues and represent Corteva in industry and scientific forums. Build cross-functional collaborations and stay at the forefront of weed science advances.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Weed Science or a related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in weed management
- 10+ years of experience in crop protection
- 10+ years of experience in herbicide resistance
- Deep expertise in weed science
- Deep expertise in population biology
- Deep expertise in herbicide resistance
- Strong knowledge of molecular biology techniques
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools
- Proven track record of leading complex research programs
- Proven track record of developing innovative scientific solutions
- Experience collaborating with academic and industry experts to advance research initiatives
- Strong project management skills
- Strong prioritization skills
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills in global environments
- Excellent written communication skills in English
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English
- Ph.D. in Weed Science or a related discipline with 10+ years of experience in weed management, crop protection, and herbicide resistance
