Job Summary
Global Head, Pricing and Market Access Cell Therapy responsible for developing and leading global pricing and reimbursement strategies across AstraZeneca cell therapy products, working cross-functionally to secure payer reimbursement, integrate pricing inputs into long-range forecasts, and deliver global launch materials. Leads external payer policy shaping, educates internal partners on payer dynamics, and manages HEPE and evidence-generation activities to support payer requirements across multiple markets. Requires senior leadership experience, deep understanding of payer landscapes and HTA systems, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders. The role is based in Gaithersburg, MD (US) with in-person responsibilities, and offers a comprehensive compensation package including short-term incentives and long-term incentives.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record of shaping and implementing value-adding Pricing & Market Access strategies in a local, regional or global role
- Extensive experience in leadership roles, including market access, commercial, government affairs, medical
- Strong experience in the Area of Pricing and Market Access within the Pharmaceutical Industry, ideally amended with significant experience in strategic management of stakeholders in Governments, Reimbursement Agencies and Patient Organizations
- Track record of successful in market price negotiations
- Above-market (global / regional) leadership experience
- Commercial and/or development leadership of pre-launch and launch activities
- Proven track record of linking science and evidence generation to drive patient access through several payer archetypes
- Proven track record of attracting and developing talent and optimizing team performance in direct and matrixed leadership roles
