Job Summary

Set global government affairs and public affairs strategy to enable rapid U.S. and international market expansion. Build and lead a team of world-class employees, consultants, and lobbyists while driving business-critical outcomes like landing legislation, expanding drone regulations, and securing municipal land use permits. Create enduring relationships with elected officials and policymakers, cultivating champions who support Zipline's mission. Develop grassroots, grasstops, and third-party advocacy networks to demonstrate community benefits and mobilize support during opposition. Brief the executive team and Board on global policy risks and opportunities. This role requires significant travel across the U.S. and internationally to engage stakeholders in diverse communities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 15+ years of progressively senior experience
  • prior responsibility for leading a global government affairs function or a substantial regional/global portfolio
  • Demonstrated experience building and leading high-performing, rapidly growing teams
  • Experience successfully onboarding and managing external consultants and lobbyists globally
  • Excitement for Zipline's transformational technology and mission

  • Persuasive communicator (verbal and written)
