Job Summary
Senior global leader responsible for Analytics and AI Platform Engineering within State Street Investment Management. Leads end-to-end platform infrastructure, software applications, data science capabilities, advanced analytics and AI frameworks, ML/LLM Ops, and observability across global engineering teams. Defines platform architecture, governance practices, engineering standards, and scalable, modular solutions that eliminate silos and accelerate time to market. Drives engineering excellence, innovation, and collaboration across offices in the US, China, India, and Poland, ensuring strong delivery execution, security, and regulatory compliance. Builds and mentors a high-performing, globally distributed engineering organization with strong vendor management and partnership with DAAIS to support the COO organization. Focus areas include IAC, cloud-agnostic computing, GPU/TPU/CUDA, GenAI/Agentic AI integration, distributed computing, disaster recovery, and model governance. Emphasizes leadership, communication, and stakeholder management to deliver transformative analytics and AI capabilities for asset management.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree required (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field)
- 15+ years in core engineering role at large enterprise (ideally asset management)
- 15+ years hands-on engineering experience with analytics and/or AI solutions and platforms
- Proven experience leading global technology organizations across infrastructure, IAC, ML/LLM Ops, analytics and AI frameworks/tools, FinOps, high availability and disaster recovery
- Strong understanding of the analytics and AI vendor landscape and demonstrated experience adopting vendor products and open-source frameworks to improve scale and growth
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Fluent in English; highly detail-oriented, results-driven, candid, and execution-focused
- Prior AI platform engineering leadership experience in large financial institution (highly preferred)
- CFA Level I or equivalent credential (highly preferred)
- Education & Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree required
- 15+ years in core engineering role at large enterprise ideally asset management industry
