Job Summary
Global Head of AI leads the company’s global AI strategy and builds/operates a world-class AI organization spanning AI Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, Applied Research, AI Product, and Platform Engineering. Responsible for defining and executing a global AI vision, identifying high-impact AI opportunities across products and operations, driving adoption with measurable business outcomes, establishing governance and secure, scalable AI practices, and leading generation of intelligent systems in areas including recommendation systems, personalization, search, conversation/LLM applications, agentic AI, and AI infrastructure. The role emphasizes leadership of large, multi-region teams (30–100+ professionals), collaboration with executive leadership, and delivering production-grade AI capabilities that enhance user engagement, retention, and revenue opportunities. Mandarin Chinese proficiency is required for collaboration with Greater China and APAC stakeholders. Fully remote arrangement based in Singapore with executive visibility and incentives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related disciplines
- 10+ years of experience within Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Applied AI Engineering, or related fields
- Proven experience deploying AI systems into large-scale production environments serving millions of users
- Deep expertise in recommendation systems, personalization, search, ranking, intelligent decisioning, or related AI domains
- Strong experience building and deploying production-grade LLM applications and modern AI workflows
- Experience designing scalable AI platforms, MLOps ecosystems, AI infrastructure, or enterprise AI tooling
- Strong product mindset and demonstrated ability to connect AI initiatives to measurable business impact
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Applied AI organizations
- Experience managing managers and leaders
- Proven track record leading multi-layered organizations with multiple team leads
- Experience managing organizations comprising multiple independent teams across AI Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, etc.
- Experience leading organizations of approximately 30+ professionals, with strong preference for 50-100+ person organizations
- Demonstrated success building organizations from the ground up, scaling teams internationally, and developing future leaders
- Experience operating at executive leadership level with responsibility for strategy, investment decisions, organizational design, talent planning, and cross-functional alignment
