Job Summary
Identify market opportunities and cultivate partnerships with schools, universities, corporations, and government agencies. Negotiate business agreements and manage accounts while overseeing project implementation from concept to final product. Develop and execute diverse programs including short-term education, executive training, sports exchanges, and youth initiatives. Serve as the primary liaison for assigned partners, ensuring active involvement throughout all project phases. Monitor quality, schedules, and financial performance to maintain client satisfaction and program profitability. Maintain a diversified portfolio of partnerships and programs while achieving annual objectives. Accommodate a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requires strong language proficiency in English and Japanese, a valid Hawaii driver's license, and the ability to supervise part-time staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited college or university at the time of appointment
- Four years of related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated
- Intermediate skills in word processing and spreadsheets
- Meticulous organization and time management skills
- Detail-oriented and accurate in duties performed
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to handle diverse projects simultaneously
- Must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule (some weekends, evenings, and holidays)
- Strong language proficiency in the English language and Japanese language including advanced reading/writing and listening/speaking skills
- Valid State of Hawaii driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university at the time of appointment in Business Administration or related field
- Previous work-related experience in business development and project management
- Previous experience working with international populations
- Previous study abroad experience
- Previous event coordination experience
- First Aid, CPR, AED certification
