Global Design Manager

Job Summary
Lead, mentor, and manage a global design team across the UK and international locations, partnering with Principal Creatives to uphold high standards of delivery while driving team development, capability-building, stakeholder relationships, and consistent, high-quality creative output across disciplines (UX/UI, graphic design, animation, motion, real-time development, and web). Drive global design strategy, processes, and alignment, enable seamless delivery across regions, and foster a collaborative, inclusive culture with a focus on operational efficiency, budgeting, and client value across a diverse international portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a creative environment with broad understanding of creative disciplines and collaboration with specialist teams
- Proven leadership experience in a creative or design environment within a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong understanding of design principles, creative processes, and delivery
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with experience pitching to clients
- Exposure to working with global or cross-cultural teams
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail
- Proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Strategic mindset to drive improvements and outcomes
- Experience managing operational aspects of a creative function
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to balance creativity with operational and business considerations
