Job Summary
Design and implement the Deal Desk operating model, including workflows, tooling, SLAs, and team structure. Recruit, onboard, and manage the US and EU Deal Desk Associates while defining standards across proposal quality and CRM hygiene. Act as the primary commercial partner to Business Development, overseeing all prospect-facing materials and leading responses to complex RFIs and proposals. Partner with Legal, Finance, and Operations to support deal structuring, compliance, and contract execution. Build and maintain the Deal Desk knowledge library, establish systematic processes for capturing insights from closed and lost deals, and develop training resources to upskill the broader BD team. Set and enforce Salesforce standards, produce executive-level pipeline reporting, and lead support for upsell and expansion conversations with existing clients. Launch the function within 90 days and hire associates within six months.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in deal desk, sales operations, bid management, revenue operations, or commercial support roles
- 4 year Bachelor's degree
- Demonstrated experience building or significantly scaling a deal desk, proposals team, or equivalent function
- People management experience: hiring, developing, and leading high-performing teams
- Background in financial services, fund administration, or professional services
- Exceptional project management skills — able to manage multiple high-stakes deals simultaneously across regions and time zones
- Highly proficient in Salesforce
- Outstanding written communication — able to translate complex service offerings into clear, compelling, client-ready proposals
- Strong analytical skills: can build pricing models, interpret pipeline data, and translate insights into action
- Comfortable presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders, including BD leadership and the C-suite
- Builder mindset: energized by ambiguity, comfortable starting from zero, and focused on long-term scalability
- High ownership and follow-through — this role demands someone who takes full accountability for outcomes
- Collaborative and cross-functional: able to build trust and work effectively with Legal, Finance, Operations, and BD
- Detail-oriented and process-driven without sacrificing speed or commercial judgment
