Job Summary
Global Credit Trading role in London for High Yield Credit Trader — Associate/VP. Responsibilities include market making across high yield bonds and CDS, managing risk within leveraged finance, interfacing with global sales force and clients to expand the High Yield franchise, and collaborating with research analysts to deliver best-in-class solutions. Required: extensive market making and trading experience in High Yield Credit or IG/Crossover, buy/sell side Credit Trading experience, knowledge of sell side trading protocol and compliance, client-facing experience, strong relationships with sales, solid credit analysis, and strong communication and analytical skills; UK regulatory fitness/propriety as assessed by the firm.
Required Qualifications
- Substantial / extensive experience in market making and trading of High Yield Credit or IG/Crossover credit (bonds and, where applicable, CDS)
- Experience from buy side or sell side in Credit Trading
- Understanding of sell side trading protocol, market conduct, and compliance requirements
- Experience in client-facing sell side trading
- Strong client relationships and experience working with the sales force to drive the market making agenda
- Strong understanding of fundamental credit analysis and knowledge of credit and leveraged finance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong numeracy skills and analytical ability
- Experience with UK regulatory requirements and related fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence considerations (as assessed by the Firm)
