Job Summary
Global Corporate Banking - Subsidiary Banker (Vice President) responsible for new business origination, relationship management, and cross-product solutions for subsidiaries of US-headquartered corporate clients in Germany and Austria. Works with US-based relationship teams and regional partners to deliver Payments/treasury, Trade and Markets solutions, including FX, commodities, debt capital markets, risk management, and asset management. Collaborates with Payments Sales, Product Specialists, and implementation/customer service teams to understand client requirements, develop forward-looking business plans, and ensure ongoing satisfaction. Builds and develops coverage of selected clients, coordinates with HQ bankers and cross-functional partners, identifies opportunities for new products and services, provides sales input for product development, and contributes to strategy, efficiency, and profitability. Focuses on developing junior talent within the team, conducts market/segment strategy, client calls, proposals, presentations, and negotiations, and travels domestically and internationally. Fluency in German and English required.
Required Qualifications
- Client Relationship Manager with proven ability to build and develop client relationships, win new business, close transactions and develop networks, both internally and externally
- Proven track record of managing complex (multi-product & multi-country) client relationships at regional level ideally
- Knowledge of Investment Banking and Payments products including treasury services, FX, derivatives, bonds, loans and trade finance
- Strong working knowledge of credit, markets
- Pro-active and problem solving mind-set with ability to identify, clearly present and implement solutions
- Strong commercial judgment
- Strong influencing skills and proven track record of managing cross cultural environments
- Strong partnership skills & excellent communication skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly domestically and internationally
- Fluency in German and in English is essential
