Job Summary
Analyst role in Global Corporate Banking (Mid-Cap) based in Tokyo; responsible for supporting deal teams, country leadership, pitch book preparation, transaction execution, and country-level reporting, while coordinating with product partners and internal stakeholders. Focus on building and managing client relationships, generating revenue opportunities with prospects or existing clients, and assessing/ documenting credit requests while understanding clients’ capital structures, risk management and strategic M&A initiatives. Requires strong credit and financial modeling capabilities, problem-solving, bilingual Japanese/English communication, and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills.
Required Qualifications
- Strong credit and financial modeling skills
- Knowledge of Corporate and/or Investment Banking products
- Excellent problem solving and detail-oriented analytical capabilities
- Highly motivated, a self-starter and a team player
- Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgment
- Strong oral and written communication skills in Japanese and English
- Superior Excel and Power Point skills
- Any Corporate Banking and/or Investment Banking experience with a strong corporate finance/credit background
- Prior participation in a banking analyst training program
