Job Summary
Lead global material sourcing and supplier base management for Warren Rupp, developing and executing short- and long-term commodity strategies to reduce supply chain complexity and achieve cost-saving targets. Manage annual spend exceeding $12M, utilizing the 80/20 mindset to establish sourcing roadmaps, develop should-cost models, and negotiate global contracts while driving total cost of ownership improvements. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders worldwide to optimize supplier performance, lead RFQ and RFP initiatives, and execute value engineering projects. Monitor geopolitical and operational risks, assess supplier financial health, and develop dual-source strategies to support business continuity and new product introduction programs. Requires 10+ years of strategic sourcing experience, proficiency in SAP/Oracle, and ability to travel up to 25%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of strategic sourcing, procurement, commodity management, or supply chain experience
- Minimum 5 years managing global suppliers and international sourcing activities
- Demonstrated success negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Experience driving measurable productivity and cost savings initiatives
- Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE
- Proficiency in MRP, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
Desired Qualifications
- CPSM, CPM, CSCP, APICS, or equivalent certification
- Experience within automotive, industrial manufacturing, aerospace, HVAC, electronics, or consumer products industries
- Advanced spend analysis, cost modeling, and market intelligence capabilities
- Experience managing annual spend greater than $30M
