Job Summary
Global Clinical Head (GCH) for Obesity/Diabetes in AstraZeneca's Late CVRM Global Development. You will be the most senior medical scientific authority on asset teams, accountable for clinical and scientific content, and responsible for strategy, risk-benefit assessment, and high-level clinical deliverables across the asset(s). Lead cross-functional CPT workstreams, partner with Global Product Leaders, and drive implementation of processes and learning with Clinical Operations. Requires an MD/MBBS with 5+ years in drug development and a track record of late-stage clinical research, preferably in Endocrinology or obesity/Type 2 DM. In-person work three days per week with flexible balance and potential relocation considerations; roles based in Boston, MA or Gaithersburg, MD. The base pay ranges from $331,874 to $497,810, with eligibility for incentives and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized school of medicine with an M.D. degree or MBBS or equivalent
- 5+ years proven experience in drug development
- Specialization in Endocrinology preferred
- Delivered multiple complex and large studies (international outcomes)
- Experience with global regulatory submissions and interacting with major regulatory agencies
- Demonstrated success in influencing global and local cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to lead clinical and scientific content for assets and CPT deliverables
