Job Summary
Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic customers, building trusted relationships across all levels of the client organization from operational teams to executive leadership. Lead customer strategic initiatives, special projects, and the integration of new business opportunities to support long-term growth and partnership success. Act as a strategic supply chain consultant, identifying opportunities to improve customer performance and recommending integrated logistics solutions that create measurable business value. Establish, monitor, and continuously improve Critical Success Factors and Key Performance Indicators in partnership with customers and Program Management teams. Drive the expansion of Maersk's integrated logistics portfolio by identifying opportunities across Ocean, Air, Customs, Warehousing, Domestic Transportation, Supply Chain Management, and Value-Added Services. Monitor account profitability, support contract renewals, and contribute to the sustainable growth of strategic customer relationships. Resolve complex customer challenges, manage escalations, and coordinate resources across the organization to ensure service excellence. Manage a portfolio of strategic accounts while maintaining flexibility to support additional customers and commercial initiatives as business needs evolve. Work in a flexible, remote-based role with exposure to senior customer stakeholders and executive leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain management, shipping, or related industries
- Strong commercial acumen and experience managing strategic customer relationships in a complex, solution-oriented environment
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and AI-enabled productivity tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as CIFFA or CITT
- Understanding of FMCG supply chains and customer environments, particularly within food & beverage, personal care, consumer goods, or pharmaceutical sectors
