Job Summary
The Global Category Product Manager at Xylem will lead the strategy, innovation, operational and commercial performance of the Motors, Drives, and Intelligent Systems category. This role requires deep experience in electric motors and drives, with responsibilities including global ownership of the product portfolio, influencing technology direction, executing product line strategy, monitoring market trends, and driving continuous improvement. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering or business and have over 7 years of relevant product management experience. Strong communication skills and experience in a global, matrixed organization are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 7+ years’ experience in product management, product line management, or category strategy within motors, drives, motion control, or industrial electromechanical systems
- Strong understanding of electric motors, VFDs/drives, efficiency standards, and supplier ecosystems
- Proven ownership of product portfolios with revenue, margin, and lifecycle accountability
- Experience operating in global, matrixed organizations
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business and customer value propositions
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in water, HVAC, industrial equipment, or adjacent regulated industries preferred
- Continuous improvement mindset and exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or cost-reduction methodologies
