Global Category Manager

Job Summary
Develop and implement global category strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on cost reduction, value creation, and risk mitigation. Lead global sourcing initiatives to select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage procurement activities across equipment, services, logistics, and materials. Establish strong relationships with key global suppliers while driving performance improvements and ensuring contractual compliance. Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends and new suppliers, and prepare RFP/RFQs in coordination with Engineering/Operations. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements across the supply chain, proactively mitigating risks to ensure operational continuity. Prepare regular reports for senior leadership on category performance, savings, and risk management. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in category management within the oil and gas industry, including 4 years in material/equipment purchasing for the A/E industry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement within the oil and gas industry
- 4 years of experience of material/equipment purchasing and expediting experience related to A/E industry
- past purchasing agent experience
