Global Category Manager

Job Summary
Lead and govern global category work focusing on IT services and general global services; develop, maintain, and execute category strategies; drive end-to-end strategic sourcing projects; negotiate and implement supplier contracts; manage key supplier relationships and contract governance; collaborate with cross-functional and senior stakeholders in a hybrid role based in Sandviken, Sweden (remote every other week). Must bring extensive strategic-sourcing and category-management experience, a commercial mindset, and strong English and Swedish communication skills to influence stakeholders across a global manufacturing organization.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant academic degree (advantageous)
- Experience in strategic sourcing and category management in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to commercially source solutions, evaluate options, negotiate, close deals, and manage stakeholder expectations
- Strong negotiation, contracting, and strategic supplier management capabilities
- Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate in global organizations
- Structured, detail-oriented approach with market awareness and ability to develop sourcing solutions
