Job Summary
Manage several Mechanical Component Categories for ABB's Traction division by defining sourcing strategies, securing supplier bases, and negotiating pricing and contractual conditions. Lead cost reduction initiatives by collaborating with Engineering and R&D to re-evaluate designs and trigger savings activities. Identify, investigate, and select appropriate suppliers focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability in alignment with business strategy. Maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders and main suppliers while renewing price lists periodically. This hybrid role supports the strategic needs of the Traction division locations, requiring a university degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management and minimum 10 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, or Procurement
- Experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and category strategy development
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external partners in an international environment
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
