Global Category Manager

Job Summary
Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for assigned categories, leading negotiations to achieve on-time delivery, quality, cost savings, and sustainability goals. Manage supplier segmentation, selection, and development while controlling CAPEX and driving initiatives such as best cost country sourcing, supply base rationalization, and total cost of ownership improvements. Lead recovery plans for underperforming suppliers and report progress on Value Creation Plan initiatives. Act as a facilitator between the supply base and business units to enable innovation, support New Product Introduction cost-out processes, and minimize supply chain risks through proactive compliance engagement. Own the transformation of processes, quality, and internal coordination to deliver measurable value across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Operations or Engineering from an accredited university/college or equivalent knowledge/experience
- 5+ years working experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain or operations
- Proven experience in project management and strategy development
- Excellent technical aptitude

Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years working experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain or operations (preferred)
- Reciprocating engine knowledge/skills (preferred)
- Strong knowledge/skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Oracle ERP experience is preferred
