Global Category Manager

Job Summary
Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for assigned categories, leading negotiations to achieve on-time delivery, quality, cost savings, and sustainability goals. Manage supplier segmentation, selection, and development while controlling CAPEX and driving initiatives such as best cost country sourcing, supply base rationalization, and total cost of ownership improvements. Lead the Value Creation Plan, develop recovery plans for underperforming suppliers, and facilitate collaboration between the supply base and business units to enable innovation and reduce supply chain risks. Own project management for New Product Introduction and product cost-out processes. This strategic individual contributor role requires a hybrid schedule with onsite time at headquarters in Waukesha, WI, and includes up to 20% travel to the global supply base.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Operations or Engineering from an accredited university/college or equivalent knowledge/experience
- 5+ years working experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain or operations
- Proven experience in project management and strategy development
- Excellent technical aptitude

Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years working experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain or operations (preferred)
- Reciprocating engine knowledge/skills (preferred)
- Strong knowledge/skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Oracle ERP experience is preferred
