Global Category Manager

Job Summary
Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for assigned categories, leading negotiations to achieve on-time delivery, quality, cost savings, and sustainability goals. Manage supplier segmentation, selection, and development while controlling CAPEX and driving initiatives like best cost country sourcing, supply base rationalization, and total cost of ownership improvements. Proactively interface with business sourcing leaders to facilitate solution identification, support New Product Introduction cost-out processes, and develop recovery plans for underperforming suppliers. Own and report progress on Value Creation Plan initiatives while minimizing supply chain risks and optimizing internal coordination. This strategic individual contributor role requires a hybrid schedule with 20% travel to global supply bases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Operations or Engineering from an accredited university/college or equivalent knowledge/experience
- 5+ years working experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain or operations
- Proven experience in project management and strategy development
- Excellent technical aptitude

Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years working experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain or operations (preferred)
- Reciprocating engine knowledge/skills (preferred)
- Strong knowledge/skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Oracle ERP experience is preferred
