Job Summary
Global Category Manager leads the development and execution of purchasing strategies for CMOs, coordinating central-led strategic sourcing across sites, driving multi-year sourcing plans, and partnering with stakeholders to deploy tools, parameters, and best practices. The role emphasizes supplier relationship management, contract management for CMOs, risk mitigation, compliance, and continuous improvement, with a focus on delivering cost-effective procurement for finished products and APIs in pharma/FMCG contexts. Requires experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and cross-functional project leadership within a pharma or related industry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial) or Business management
- Experience in procurement role within pharma industry with strategic sourcing for Raw Materials and CMO categories
- ERP systems and Digital platforms experience
- Familiarity with CMO, CRO, pharmaceutical raw material sourcing/supply base
- Track record in delivery of effective category management in multi-site
- Managerial experience to supervise junior colleagues
