Job Summary
Associates at Goldman Sachs contribute to client relationships, participate on advisory teams, and help structure and execute transactions in the TMT-focused investment banking space. Responsibilities include developing presentations and analyses using industry research, financial models, and valuation techniques for cross-border deals; performing comprehensive analyses of mergers and acquisitions, financings, and public listings; analyzing accounting/regulatory statements and financial projections; supporting live deal execution, due diligence, drafting legal documents with lawyers and buyers, and coordinating deal-related activities; maintaining client dialogue with senior bankers and product experts; and collaborating with client management teams to deliver strategic advice and drive transaction outcomes. The role requires strong academic performance, 2-4 years of relevant investment banking experience (or MBA), experience with buy-side/sell-side transactions, due diligence, financial modeling, and excellent communication skills; a clear path toward senior TMT investment banking responsibilities is anticipated.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Significant investment banking experience
- 2-4 years of work experience or MBA
- Experience in Technology / TMT sector preferred
- Experience with buy-side and sell-side M&A, equity and debt financing
- Due-diligence and transaction execution experience
- Strong financial modelling skills
- DCF, LBO, merger modeling, comparable companies, and precedent transactions knowledge
- Experience preparing industry/company presentations and benchmarking materials
- Strong teamwork and cross-region collaboration
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Leadership potential in investment banking
