Job Summary
Senior Associate, Position Control in Goldman Sachs Global Banking & Markets (Salt Lake City). Provide essential risk management and control across the trade life cycle, including oversight of regulatory obligations, payments controls, and ledger reconciliations. Collaborate with Technology to design, build, and operate effective controls in a Straight-through Processing (STP) environment. Provide control design expertise and implement the control framework as part of new business activities and migration to strategic architecture. Foster relationships across trading desks, operations, technology, legal and compliance, and global groups.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role; experience must include risk frameworks including regulatory obligations, payments controls, and ledger reconciliation; experience with the trade booking lifecycle including Pre-Trade, Trade Execution, Trade Clearing, Trade Settlement, and Position and Risk Management; advanced Microsoft Excel including macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and IF/AND formulas; experience in a Straight-through Processing (STP) environment.
