Job Summary
Develop expert knowledge of derivatives regulatory requirements and oversee implementation of new rules for APAC regulatory reporting. Provide supervisory guidance on report issues, remediate problems, and improve processes including automation of manual workflows. Define project documentation, coordinate testing activities, and manage change programs with Legal, Compliance, and Technology teams. Act as a risk manager by assessing adherence to obligations for HKMA, MAS, ASIC, JFSA, and other regulators. Contribute to strategic technology initiatives and daily report production as needed. This role supports the creation and submission of non-financial regulatory reporting within a global team focused on regulatory reform.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 8 years of work experience in the Financial Industry and Regulatory Reporting experience
- Experience with complex financial products/functions with including data analysis, information technology, business operating processes, regulatory reporting and compliance
- Experience with derivative products and expertise as a business analyst around regulations like OTC Derivative Reporting to HKMA, JFSA, ASIC and particularly MAS
- Highly proficient in the use of MS Office products
- Analytical thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and translate strategy to execution
- Problem solving and documentation skills with an ability to understand complex workflows
- Candidate must be proactive, enthusiastic and team oriented
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to think strategically and contribute to department and division wide initiatives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to organize and prioritize workload and drive results
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new changes and new challenges
