Job Summary
Lead the global account strategy for a medical device customer, align internal and external teams to deliver targets, and develop strategies to optimize margins and expand revenue. Create and manage a Global Account Plan covering all divisions, drive new business development leveraging innovations and the global footprint, oversee quotation activity, manage the pipeline and sales cycle to achieve revenue growth, develop senior-level customer contacts across regions, ensure regional sales teams are aligned with the global strategy, meet/exceed annual sales plans, maintain monthly revenue forecasts, own customer Relationships and ensure satisfaction, analyze changes in customer purchasing, participate in strategic planning for 1–3 year horizons, negotiate contracts (NDA, Supply Agreements, Quality Agreements), and travel up to 50% to engage with customers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical or Related Degree
- Minimum 10+ years field sales experience in a manufacturing company (Medical device OEM/Contract manufacturing)
- Experience in Medical Device OEM / Contract Manufacturing
- Technical Knowledge of Elastomer and/or Thermoplastic Materials
- Technical Knowledge of Injection Molding and Extrusion Manufacturing Practices
- Understanding of Quality Standards and Validations (IQ/OQ/PQ’s, Cpk level, AQL’s, etc.)
- Understanding of Medical Device Governing Bodies and Documents (FDA, ISO, cGMP, etc.)
- Strong Technical, Analytical, and/or Problem Solving and field management skills
- General professional, business acumen including cost estimating, financial analysis, and ROI activities
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Salesforce.com)
- Ability to manage multiple projects, track progress, and stay on schedule
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- High Level of Customer Focus & Self Initiative
- Self-Managed (remote work capability)
- Strong Relationship Skills / Team Player
- 50% Travel required to meet customers
