Job Summary

Deliver flight training in a flight simulator and ground school in accordance with CAE approved curriculum and customer requirements. Act as a subject matter expert to lead clients through training, conducting pre and post flight simulator briefings and providing simulator or classroom instruction on assigned aircraft types. Manage administrative duties including completing training records, recommending remedial training, and tracking instructional qualifications. Create curricula and courseware as a subject matter expert when required. Maintain accurate records in accordance with CAE policy and FAA requirements while adhering to all company security and data protection procedures. This role requires a 2-Year Training commitment and eligibility for a DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Required Qualifications

  • Hold or meets qualifications to receive an unrestricted ATP certificate
  • Minimum of one unrestricted PIC Jet Type Rating
  • Prior Part 142 TCE experience
  • CFII/MEI experience
  • A passion for teaching others through strong communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency – Microsoft Office and other internet-based programs
  • Must participate in CAE's DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program
  • Experience flying business aircraft
  • A 'true' professional character with the ability to create a welcoming and successful learning environment
  • The proven ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels, both spoken and written
  • Commitment to the customer - providing continuous 'red carpet' customer service
  • The capability to tailor training sessions to the needs of a diverse customer base
  • A keen eye for detail – must be able and willing to maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with CAE policy and FAA requirements
  • Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures
  • Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form
  • Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know
  • Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval
  • All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources
  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance
  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role
  • Domestic and international travel as required
  • Must be able to walk and/or climb stairs and ladder into a simulator or airplane cockpit
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, and crawl on top of or under machinery
  • Must be able to detect odors or hear noises, bangs, etc., or other sounds to detect problems or flaws in the functioning of simulators and its surrounding environment
  • Physical stamina and stature required to maintain composure in airplane seat while wearing parachute during aerobatic flight profiles
  • Will be working in areas with risk of electrical shock from moving mechanical parts driven by hydraulics under high pressure
  • Will at times be exposed to the following conditions: extreme heat, airborne particles, and loud noises
  • 2-Year Training commitment is required

  • Experience flying business aircraft is a plus
