Job Summary
Entry-level Group Life Counselor I providing direct services to high-risk youth in a residential setting within Sea Mar's multidisciplinary team; duties include admission procedures, monitor patient’s behavior, educational group facilitation, milieu management, and supervision of patients. Services target out-of-control, high-risk youth with chemical dependency and possible mental health needs. Responsibilities include attending groups with clients, monitoring and logging activities, providing and referring to other treatment/services, assisting with housekeeping and meal service, and maintaining records. Requires the ability to work with adolescent and adult populations; requires Associate’s degree or high school diploma with relevant experience; must obtain First Aid and BLS CPR within specified time frame and pass background checks; driving license required.
Required Qualifications
- Must either hold an Associate’s degree, OR have a high school diploma with at least one year of experience that is relevant to the primary responsibilities of this position.
