Job Summary
Coordinate project startup, execution, and close out by directing crew field activities to maximize productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards. Collaborate with superintendents and project managers to optimize scheduling of materials, manpower, and crew mix using look-ahead schedules and forecasts. Manage a crew of 15+ craftsmen, ensuring positive relationships with trades, vendors, and customers while conveying a professional attitude as the onsite representative. Perform all job duties in a constant state of alertness and safety, utilizing available technology to complete tasks efficiently. This safety-sensitive role offers on-the-job training for a national employee-owned contractor serving commercial and industrial markets.
Required Qualifications
- at least 5 years of experience in a Foreman/Supervisor role
- track record of successfully performing supervisory responsibilities
- strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Managed a crew size of 15+ craftsmen
- Understanding of curtain wall, window wall, and storefront glazing systems
- Proficient in quality control
- Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
- Physically able to perform assigned tasks
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
- This position is safety-sensitive
