Job Summary
Lead and supervise glazing crews on commercial construction projects while reading blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications. Coordinate daily work activities to ensure installations of storefront systems, curtain walls, doors, and architectural glass are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Measure, cut, fabricate, and install glass and aluminum framing systems, ensuring all work is plumb, level, watertight, and meets quality standards. Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, lifts, scaffolding, and other equipment while mentoring apprentices and maintaining OSHA compliance. Communicate effectively with project managers, foremen, contractors, and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of lead commercial glazing experience preferred
- Proven experience installing storefront, curtain wall, and architectural aluminum systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe work practices
- Must possess basic glazing hand tools
- Ability to operate lifts, scaffolding, saws, grinders, caulking equipment, and other glazing tools
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the Central Ohio area as needed
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
